Complete Your ad:tech Experience With Parties

In the weeks leading up to the ad:tech San Francisco conference, the party invites begin to roll in and it's our job (well, someone has to do it) to gather them together, place them on an easy to access Google calendar (see sidebar) and share the details of each party here with you. So, here we go.

On Monday, April 19 at 5PM right after the first day of panels end, head over to room 134 at Moscone North. But...only if you have a full conference pass. Yes, this "mixer" is not open to everyone. But don't worry. There's plenty of parties over the course of the three day event for everyone to enjoy.

At this mixer, you'll be able to rub elbows with conference speakers and your fellow marketers in an environment conducive to relaxation and conversation.

After this mixer, head over to Roe Restaurant and Nightclub at 7:30PM for the (unofficial) Opening Night Party. Hosted by Marissa Louie, Brian Solis, Murray Newlands and Steve Hall, the event will be a combined panel and party. But don't worry. There will be much more party than there is panel.

From 7:45 until 8:15PM, the four of us will do the panel thing and talk about whatever's hot at the moment. Hey, give us a break. We're still planning. And, besides, you wouldn't want us to plan for something and then have it be stale by the time the event rolls around now would you? So it will be quick, painless and fun. And after the panel ends, the lights will go down and the drinks will begin to flow. There's more information on a facebook page and you can register to attend on this Eventbrite page.

No doubt, there will be other late night parties Monday night and we'll be sure to let you know about them as soon as we hear.

On Tuesday, April 20 from 6PM to 7:30PM, SFBIG and SFAMA, along with ad:tech, will host the Big Networking Bash. It will be held in room 134 of Moscone North. It'll be a nice respite from the second (and first full) day of the conference. So after the panels and the long walks through the exhibit hall, come get a drink and hang with fellow conference attendees before heading out to dinner or the late night party of your choosing.

From 7:30 to 10PM at House of Shields, Affiliate Summit's Missy Ward will host Cocktails For A Cure, an event to raise money for the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. The event will feature "celebrity bartenders" including Robert Scoble, Brian Solis, Warren Corpus, Rocky Barbanica and Brian Littleton. Drinks are on the house for invited guests and all tips will be donated to Avon alk for Breast Cancer. There will be a limited number of tickets available.

At 10PM, Moss Networks will host its VIP MIX + MINGLE at manor West, a swanky, sizable (4,500 square feet) venue with an impressive 30 ft backdrop designed by Yelena Yemchuk, former Creative Director for the Smashing Pumpkins. Sponsors include Adknowledge and Playphone. There's more information here.

And that's it for now. Except, of course, for a really epic wine and dine party that, at the host's request, shall remain a secret for now.  As the invites roll in, we'll be sure to keep you updated here.

  2. I hope everyone shows up to "Cocktails for a Cure" and tips big for a good cause! Oh, by the way - Steve didn't mention that he is one of the celebrity bartenders too! Can't wait to be serving up drinks side-by-side with ya, Steve!
