ad:tech San Francisco launches Mobile Marketing Master track

Posted by Mickey Kahn on March 19th, 2010 at 5:09 pm

ad:tech San Francisco this year decided to go with a different twist on mobile content: anointing a Mobile Marketing Master to lead a two-hour track April 21 instead of the stereotypical daylong event.

Themed "How Brands Can Effectively Target Consumers on the Go," the track is part of ad:tech's new Marketing Masters series that includes online video, ad networks and social media.

So why is this track important for brand and agency executives to attend?

As ad:tech's Mobile Marketing Master, this writer's goal is develop a two-hour overview of the key trends in mobile advertising and marketing including case studies and research that showcase mobile's role in the multichannel mix.

Delegates attending this track will not only get up-to-speed with the latest and greatest in mobile, but also meet experts in the field who help move the needle.

Indeed, mobile is at a juncture where its exclusion from multichannel marketing will cost marketers the last mile in the relationship with their customers.

More consumers are now consuming content and advertising on the go and as smartphones and mobile sites, applications and SMS programs improve, consumers will evolve their shopping habits to increase purchases from mobile devices.

Given this scenario, the Mobile Marketing Master track is worth attending.

The track runs April 21 at 1 p.m. -- 2:50 p.m. Pacific time at the Moscone Center North Convention Center in San Francisco. A networking session with the panelists will be held on April 20.

The Mobile Marketing Masters track is part of the three-day-long ad:tech (http://www.ad-tech.com?ref=atblog2), attracting the nation’s leading interactive marketers and brands.
